“Outdoor Bound” TV show, hosted by Kurt Walbeck, visited with us last winter to make this great episode. We took them all dog sledding and ice fishing along with Arrowhead Outdoors, our go-to bait store here in Ely.
“This trip was unbelievable! We went out for a full day of dog sledding and ice fishing with David, Peter, and Nick, and our expectations were EXCEEDED! All three guys set up the ice fishing tip-ups and showed us how as they went, and we caught something like 25 HUGE pike! Even the ones they said were babies were bigger than the fish I catch in Georgia. They brought us coffee, hot chocolate, homemade potato soup, and from-scratch dinner rolls, and we all shared a meal around the wood stove in the tent. It was so authentic, and it made me want to live in Minnesota! To top it all off because it was mine and my husband’s late honeymoon, David’s wife put together a wedding gift and a sweet card for us! Overall, next to our wedding, this was the best day EVER! Cast Outdoors is the only place I’ll use for these types of excursions in Minnesota.”

“Just an absolutely incredible experience. David and the crew do a great job of explaining the art of dogsledding and makes you feel knowledgeable enough to “take the reigns” on the sled. I think the thing I loved most is how much they love their dogs and treat them like family. A lot of times people use dogs as tools but not so with Cast Outdoors.
