The Campaign to Save the Boundary Waters is a program of Northeastern Minnesotans for Wilderness (NMW). NMW was organized in 1997 by residents of the Ely, Minnesota, region to protect the integrity of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW).

The Hendrickson Foundation began organically in 2011 through discussions between Larry and friend, US Hockey Coach-In-Chief, Mike “Mac” MacMillan, about an extreme lack of participation within disabled hockey programs in Minnesota. This lit the fire that led to the eventual creation of Larry’s, Hendrickson Foundation, in partnership with USA Hockey and MN Hockey, with a mission to grow the game of hockey by making it accessible to ALL people, despite any challenges they may be living with and creating a stronger and more inclusive State of Hockey.
